I only wish I had read this book sooner. I am not even finished with it but I am reviewing it. It is excellent. Written in a style very accessible for clinicians and VERY practical. I would say it's a must if you are a speech pathologist or audiologist working with kids and their families, especially if you deliver and counsel initial diagnosis.

Very informative book for anyone in the hearing industry. This book focuses on the emotions of communication disorders and how we, as professionals should help the patient cope.

This updated edition is very similar to past versions with just a few new things added. Great read for all professionals in the field.

I cannot stress how much I fell in love with Luterman! I will certainly use this book and his words as a professional and as a person.
