If you like stories based on the civil war and like reading about spies then "Eternity Between Us" is for you and there is another bonus for readers if you are like me and like children in the books you read, Benjamin and Emily will melt your hearts.There are a couple of scenes that will make the readers with tender hearts need a tissue because it tells how prisoners of war are treated by a certain doctor from the opposing side of the war. I think if more were like Samuel and Evelyn, there might not have been as many casualties of the Civil War because they know all men have feelings and deserved to be treated equally.Can Samuel and Evelyn learn to trust each other and follow their hearts?I recommend that you read the section, "Historical note", after reading the novel because it explains the historical facts that was included in the story.I received a complementary copy by the author. These opinions are my own.

This story set in the Civil War era, sets the stage for empowerment of women in a time of horrible tragedy. War is hell and Evelyn will do just about anything for the cause. Even test her faith in God. Written withsuch ferverence and reverance. I loved it and thought it was well edited and executed. Thank you Stephenia for another great read.

This story takes place in Washington and Virginia during the Civil War. It's the story of Eve!yn who is part Indian, and discriminated for it even in her own family. She wants to contribute to the Confederate War effort so begins her venture into spying. She teams up with another young girl who turns out to be an enemy. They work as aides in a couple of hospitals and the story gets complicated when she falls in love with a Yankee doctor. Good book!!

Another great book by Stephania McGee. Only issues I had were that at the end, it just all of a sudden wrapped up and ended. Suddenly, people’s personalities just suddenly changed.Another thing which I found confusing was that when the male, main character spoke of his parents, it suddenly switched to first person. For example, the story is going along as if it is being told by another person, it then changes from being about him to being by him. Instead of it reading as “His mother said,” it was “mother said.”Very big fan of her books and highly recommend them though!

I had a difficult time finishing the last third of this book! I found the stupidity of the heroine repeatedly monotonous! An avid reader, this came as drudgery to finish. I have always determined to see a book to it's end. I did. Worst book. I have read in years. Patricia
